Announcing CodiiX: agent IDE with no token costs — everything local

Today we launch CodiiX: the AI-agent IDE for developers that works in your folder — or on your server — powered by Xeretron.

No token costs. Everything local. You do not pay per message, per tool call, or per midnight refactor. The agent runs against your Xeretron node: your GPU, your network, your code. No variable bill. No token ceiling when the team needs it most.

This is not another chat bolted onto a cloud editor. It is a full environment for vibe coding, DevOps, and architecture — Linux-style console, professional editor, semantic index, and the CodiiX Universe map — without renting intelligence from someone else.

CodiiX: explorer, editor, and AI agent on a real project

The promise: no token costs, everything local

Most AI IDEs meter you by tokens. CodiiX + Xeretron do the opposite:

  • No per-token cost — use your node’s model as much as you need; no public API meter.
  • Everything local / on-premise — code, index, and context stay on your machine or your server.
  • No uploading the repo to someone else’s cloud — the agent searches and edits where the project lives.
  • Predictable — you invest in infrastructure, not a bill that grows with every sprint.

That is real vibe coding: iterate fast, try more, and stop watching the token counter.

What is CodiiX?

CodiiX is the agent IDE in the Xeretron ecosystem. Open a local project or connect over SSH, the code indexes in the background, and the agent operates with real tools — search, shell, edits, web, installs — under your approval.

Available on Windows and Mac: install, launch, and you are in. The AI brain lives on your Xeretron server — local, private, and free of someone else’s tokens.

Vibe coding without a token ceiling

Describe what you want to build. CodiiX drafts architecture and tasks, edits carefully, runs commands you approve, and keeps per-project memory so you do not re-explain the repo every morning — without every agent turn ringing up a charge.

  • Tool-using agent on your real codebase
  • Live streaming, file progress, and cancel
  • Junior mode when you want tighter limits
  • Voice dictation, documents, and vision images

Three ways to start

  • Open a folder — local project, index, and chat with memory ready.
  • Connect SSH — remote editor and agent on the machine with your credentials.
  • Plan a new app — from scratch: idea → architecture → shall we start building?

CodiiX Universe: your code as a spatial map

Remember when you dreamed of exploring planets? CodiiX Universe turns the project into a navigable universe — universes, suns, planets, moons, and symbols — so you can see frontend and backend at a glance and make better architecture calls. Computed in your environment, not in a remote SaaS.

  • Blend what you built with what AI generated
  • Product briefs per zone, without rereading the whole repo
  • Dependencies, hubs, and gaps visible before your next move

Pro editor + local semantic index

File tree, tabs, live Git status, and a layout that remembers your widths. The semantic index lets you ask the codebase and have the agent find context without sending your repository to an external provider and without paying per query.

Xeretron models on your node

CodiiX connects to your server: Developer, Turbo, Titan, Omega, and more. Switch models in the picker and keep going — the cost is your hardware, not a token counter. You can also enable external providers when your admin allows it (optional; local remains the main path).

Control, privacy, and zero context leak

  • Commands confined to the project (or the SSH remote)
  • Approvals for powerful actions
  • Dangerous destructive operations blocked over SSH
  • Your code and context stay with you — everything local

Who it is for

  • Teams tired of token bills and mid-afternoon rate limits
  • Full-stack developers who want vibe coding in a local folder, without someone else’s cloud
  • DevOps and teams that operate over SSH
  • Anyone who needs per-project memory and a private, predictable agent IDE
